METU Productivity Club

1. What is METU Productivity Club?

METU Productivity Club, which was founded in 1992, has been a willing and active group aiming to foster relationships between the students, academics and business world. With 70 enthusiastic active members and lots of beneficial projects, the club reaches a large student profile, especially to the engineering and management students. METU Productivity Club is the first Turkish member of ESTIEM (European Students of Industrial Engineering and Management) which connects the club to Europe since 1996.

METU Productivity Club is a leader student club, which has got the experience and enthusiasm to reach its goals and it will always continue going further.

2. What does METU Productivity Club do?

Every year nearly ten projects are being organized to provide effective communication between the students and professionals. The recent project of the club was 6th Engineering and Management Days; one of the annual projects of Productivity Club, organized on the subject of “Knowledge Management and Technologies”. The project has attracted many academicians, professors, businessmen and students from all over Turkey. To illustrate, in the final congress the businessmen such as Microsoft Turkey Manager Assistant, HP Turkey Manager, politicians like Minister of Energy, Minister of Industry and Commerce and many secretary of state and many academics have shared their experiences with over 700 students through seminars, discussions and lectures.

METU Productivity Club has also other significant projects like Seminar, Technical Trip and Magazine. The Seminar Team has organized tens of activities this year. Similarly, The Technical Trip Team has organized many visits to the various corporations, companies and industrial areas all over Turkey. In addition, The Magazine is read among many students from different universities and informs them about various interesting topics. These fostered relationships have always provided us the support and force to achieve the best and higher.
